Since 2003, Paint the Town Red has been a free Canada Day celebration for our community, Mississauga and the surrounding area. It is attended by tens of thousands of people from all across the GTA.

Our celebration begins with the mile long, Hazel McCallion Canada Day Parade that commences at Stavebank Road south on Lakeshore Road and travels East to Seneca Avenue. The parade is a star-studded production with colourful floats, characters and marching bands, which is immediately followed by a giant cake cutting ceremony at the parade routes end. Families can enjoy a free piece of our Canada’s National Flag cake.

The festivities continue throughout the afternoon and into the evening around the village and in Port Credit Memorial Park where many musical performers entertain the crowds on our Main Stage and Kid’s Stage. Also at the park are children’s activities, interactive games, shows and so much more…

The evening ends with the most spectacular fireworks display!
