Hazel McCallion Canada Day Parade – Monday, July 1st, 2024   11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Parade Set Up & Staging (Port Credit Harbour Marina – 1 Port Street) Starts 8:30 am

PARTICIPANT / VOLUNTEER CHECK IN (8:00 – 11:30 am)
(Approximately 6 volunteers needed) 

Parade Entry / Volunteer registration desk – Greet entries as they arrive and sign them in.
Must be organized & personable.  Can be hectic and stressful at times, during peak sign-in time.

REFRESHMENTS (7:00 – 10:30 am)
(Approximately 3 volunteers needed)

To assist with serving light refreshment options to participants before the Parade.  Must be able to move at a fast pace, be on your feet for long periods of time.

BANNER CARRIERS (2 PER BANNER – 10:00 am until 1:00 pm)
(Approximately 40 volunteers needed)

To walk in the Paint the Town Red Parade.  Part of a 2-person team carrying a banner.

PARADE MARSHALLS

Work along the parade route keeping spectators safe & the parade moving smoothly.

PORT CREDIT MEMORIAL PARK, LAKESHORE RD
Monday, July 1st, 2024 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm

LOGISTICS CREW
(Approximately 8 – 12 volunteers needed)

  • Working with the Logistics Coordinator
  • Set up equipment in Port Credit Memorial Park – tents, picnic tables, chairs, etc.
  • Tear down at the end of the festival.

KIDS ZONE (1:00 – 6:00 pm)
(Approximately 6 volunteers needed)

Assisting with Kids Craft Zone

VIP & BAR AREA  (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm)  Shifts available

Bar – ticket sellers are needed.  Must be 19 years of age and have Smart Serve

VIP – Assist the VIP Coordinator with entrance to the VIP area Must be mature, personable.  19+

Volunteer Orientation:  Date and Time to be determined

Must be able to lift.  Closed-in shoes a must.
Set up requirements – June 30th, 2024;
Tear down requirements – July 2nd, 2024
